I lied; it’s not that fancy or even that new.  But I’m still pretty excited about owning my own little corner of the interwebs, nicolevins.com!

So for the class I’m taking this semester (did you know I’m taking a class this semester?  I feel like I’m talking about it every five seconds), I’m required to start a WordPress blog (bang!) and purchase a domain.  Because I’m an overachiever and I also thought it would be cool, I splurged and spent $12 on domain mapping as well.  Guess what?  I was right, and it is cool.

Another part of the assignment involved creating a fancy new “About” page.  I’m not exactly sure I hit the mark, assignment-wise, but writing this was a lot of fun.  I forgot how much I enjoyed blogging back in the old days (Blurty.com circa 2003/angsty Livejournal circa 2005, what what), and I’m not sure why I haven’t kept it up, minus a short stint over at Blogspot, which I actually migrated over to WordPress late last year.

Anyway, what was I talking about?  Yes!  I want to make a point of writing more frequently.  It’s now officially a new year’s resolution (?), along with visiting a new continent, donating blood…and I forget what the third one is.  Good thing I’ve come up with a new one!
